coat of arms
Blazon : "A silver sloping bar in red, covered with a black dragon spouting red flames, accompanied by a silver star at the top left."
Diedrich von Palmersheim seals in 1484 with a full coat of arms, the shield of which shows a sloping bar as the only figure. This sloping beam was incorporated into the local coat of arms. The dragon emblem can be found on the oldest bell in the village from 1397. The star serves as a symbol to increase the uniqueness value, its six rays indicate six clubs in Palmersheim. The colors are freely chosen.
The coat of arms was designed by the heraldist Lothar Müller-Westphal from Düren.
