Location of the west town in Euskirchen

As western city in true Euskirchen the district , which is located between the national road 56 , Kommerner road in the south and the feeder road L264 is in the Northeast, Ms. Berger Street. Since the Weststadt is not an independent district, the area cannot be precisely delimited. The Winkelpfad runs through Weststadt parallel to Frauenberger Straße and the Rüdesheimer Ring, which cuts through Weststadt from east to west.

The approximately 10 km² residential area is largely characterized by two-story single and row houses with adjoining gardens. The area is generally considered to be calm, with a large number of 30 km / h zones symbolically speaking . There are six municipal playgrounds as well as the Weststadt community elementary school and three kindergartens in Euskirchen's Weststadt . The Georgschule secondary school has been slowly being closed since 2016 and the new Euskirchen comprehensive school is to be built in the same building . There is also the only shopping center "Ringcenter", most of which can be classified as retail and is surrounded by five multi-storey high - rise buildings . In the southern part, at the Kommerner road that is Major General von Gersdorff - barracks of the Armed Forces and the former Belgian Loncin barracks. In addition, across from Luisenplatz is the Euskirchen Volunteer Fire Brigade , whose site was enlarged in 2016 to include the former building yard site on Danziger Strasse due to lack of space.

The city district is surrounded by bus routes 298, 808 and SB98 of the RVK . The city-internal bus lines 871, 872 and 878 of the SVE run through the Weststadt . This means that the district is very well served by public transport .
