Novotny & Maroudi - Tooth Gods in White is an Austrian television series that was broadcast on ORF 1 between 2005 and 2007 . Despite good audience numbers, the main actors refused to participate in the series any longer.

The series is about two middle-aged single dentists. One, health insurance doctor Novotny ( Andreas Vitásek ), has just been left by his wife and is in a difficult financial situation, so that he has to move in with his fellow student Maroudi ( Michael Niavarani ). He is a private doctor and has a modern dental practice as an inheritance of millions, which is located right next to that of Novotny. They share the waiting room. In each episode, Maroudi meets a different woman, while Novotny is mostly alone. Novotny only has an appointment in episodes 15 and 16. But in episode 16, his girlfriend leaves him after an argument.
