OFC Champions League 2009/10

The OFC Champions League 2009/10 was the ninth edition of an oceanic championship competition for club teams in football and took place from October 17, 2009 to May 2, 2010 for the first time with eight clubs from seven countries. The teams came from Fiji , New Zealand , New Caledonia , Papua New Guinea , the Solomon Islands , Tahiti and Vanuatu . Auckland City FC from New Zealand qualified for the tournament as defending champions. The remaining seven teams qualified based on their placements in their domestic league. There was no qualifying round this season. The eight clubs played the participants in the finals in two groups with three home and three away games.

The winner was surprisingly Hekari United FC from Papua New Guinea. This was the first time a team outside of Australia and New Zealand won the OFC Champions League. With this success, Hekari United qualified for the 2010 FIFA Club World Cup in the UAE .

New Zealander Daniel Koprivcic was the top scorer of the competition with 7 goals.
