Oberaich is a former Austrian market town with 3243 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2016) in the judicial district of Bruck an der Mur and in the political district of Bruck-Mürzzuschlag in Styria . On January 1, 2015, it was incorporated into the municipality of Bruck an der Mur as part of the municipal structural reform in Styria .
geography
Oberaich includes the valley area along the Mur Valley between Bruck an der Mur and Niklasdorf in the Bruck-Mürzzuschlag district. In addition to the Murtal itself, the settlement areas also represent the Utschtal and its side ditches.

The community consisted of five cadastral communities (area as of 2015):

Culture and sights
- Roman Bridge St. Dionysen : In the district of St. Dionysen there is a very well-preserved bridge, probably still built by the Romans, over which the Imperial Road from Flavia Solva led to the Norse main road.
- Excursion destinations
- Almgasthaus Kirl , starting point for hikes in the Rosseck and Mugl area, popular excursion destination for many people from Oberaich and Bruck
- Gasthaus am Madereck , popular excursion destination
music
Oberaich has two music associations: the Trachtenkapelle Oberaich, which is based in the western part of the village, and the Marktmusik St. Dionysen, which is located in the east.
politics
- The last mayor was Gerhard Weber (SPÖ) until the end of 2014.
- The municipal council had 15 members and since the last municipal council election in 2010 has been composed of:
