Appenfeld is a district of the municipality Knüllwald in the Schwalm-Eder district in Hesse (Germany).

The place on the Efze in the Knüllgebirge is the southernmost part of the municipality Knüllwald. State road 3152 runs through Appenfeld .

history

Niederappenfeld and Oberappenfeld were first mentioned as Appenfelt in 1250. The two places were independent communities until 1958. After the merger, the municipality of Appenfeld was created, which became part of the municipality of Knüllwald on December 31, 1971 as part of the regional reform in Hesse .
