Oberdünzebach is a district of Eschwege in the Werra-Meißner district in northern Hesse .

Geographical location

Oberdünzebach is three kilometers southeast of Eschwege in Northern Hesse . State road 3300 runs through the village .

history

The noble place owned by the Lords of Boyneburg initially belonged to the Eschwege office and came to the landgrave office of Bischhausen in 1654 . Since 1821 Oberdünzebach has belonged to the Eschwege district . In 1933 the place had 595 inhabitants. Even then, Oberdünzebach was part of the Eschwege district court and tax office.

On December 31, 1971, the previously independent town was incorporated into the district town of Eschwege as part of the regional reform in Hesse .
