The Oberdorf is the 3rd district of the city of Dornbirn ( Vorarlberg , Austria ). With only 5,000 inhabitants (as of 2012), the upper village is the smallest district in terms of population in Dornbirn.

In the upper village there are numerous villa buildings from the heyday of the textile industry in Dornbirn (beginning of the 20th century). Furthermore, the industrial companies FM Hämmerle and FM Rhomberg have settled in the two side valleys of the Dornbirn Ach and the Gechelbach .

Parish Church of St. Sebastian (1826–1927)
In the upper village there was a former chapel of the Knights of Ems (1467) near the castle, which was built in 1465 and demolished in 1847.
The church was built in the neo-baroque style in 1826/27 and extended in 1914.
Steinebach area (1846)
In 1846 Franz Martin Hämmerle had a building 13 axes long, four windows wide and five and a half storeys high erected. The Steinebach dye works became part of the FM Hämmerle textile company .
In the so-called “Glöckelehaus” from 1826 there was formerly a needle factory, later the offices were housed there. In the second half of the 19th century, new structures were built: a dye works, a bleaching plant and also drying towers, which are no longer preserved today.
Oberdorfer Tower (13th century)
The former "Tower of Dornbirn" is located in Oberdorferstrasse (No. 11). This simple square complex with a central tower (13th century) and a circular wall reinforced with a circular wall from the second half of the 15th century was archaeologically excavated in 1970.
The foundations of the tower were conserved in 1973 as an open-air facility and the remaining wall sections were indicated by markings in the ground according to the excavation findings.
