Oberschömbach is a district of the municipality Hellenthal in the district of Euskirchen , North Rhine-Westphalia .

The district is located southeast of Hellenthal and south of Unterschömbach , directly on the Schmidtheim forest , which belongs to the municipality of Dahlem . On the outskirts, the district road 62 branches off from the district road 61 .

Oberschömbach originally belonged to the municipality of Wahlen . On July 1, 1969 elections were incorporated into Kall. On January 1, 1972, Oberschömbach was reclassified to Hellenthal along with other localities that used to belong to the municipality of Wahlen.
