Dickerscheid in the Eifel is a district of the municipality of Hellenthal in the North Rhine-Westphalian district of Euskirchen .

Geographical location

Dickerscheid is located in the Hohes Venn-Eifel Nature Park just under 2.5 km (as the crow flies ) south of the Hellenthal core town, between Unterpreth in the west- south- west and Oberreifferscheid in the east-south-east. The district road 68 ( Hönningen - Rescheid ) leads past it to the east , from which a municipal road branches off as a spur road leading into the village. It is from the wooded mountains Schnitzberg , Jackdaw Mountain and Beyenberg surrounded. To the west the landscape slopes down to the Prether Bach .

Townscape

In Dickerscheid there is a village square with a playground and a campsite and a little outside a school camp , as well as a doctor's practice and several holiday apartments.
