Winten is a district of the municipality Hellenthal in the district of Euskirchen , North Rhine-Westphalia .

location

The district is located southeast of Hellenthal and south of Wildenburg . The district road 61 leads through the village .

The connection to other places is ensured by the bus route 887 of the Verkehrsverbund Rhein-Sieg (VRS).

history

Winten originally belonged to the municipality of Wahlen . On July 1, 1969 elections were incorporated into Kall. On January 1, 1972, Winten was reclassified to Hellenthal along with other villages that used to belong to the municipality of Wahlen.

As part of a village renewal measure , the green area in front of the sports field was redesigned in 1998/1999 .
