The river cruise ships of the Oktyabrskaya Revolyutsiya class , which are also known as Project 26-37 or MOL1575 (Slovak: motorova osobna lod 1575 motor ship PS 1575), are river and canal-going inland motor ships of medium-sized design. The series is called the October Revolution ( Russian Октябрьская революция ) in Russia.

details

On behalf of the Soviet government, the Narodny Podnik Škoda shipyard ( Slovenske Lodenice np Komarno in Slovak ) in Komárno built 14 units of the ship class for the Volga shipping company between 1957 and 1962 . The first ship of this class, Oktyabrskaya Revolyutsiya , was delivered in 1957. Another 13 units had been completed and handed over by 1961. They are very similar to the Project 588- class ships . In the Soviet Union , they were used as inland passenger ships on the Volga . For their time, they were comfortable and reliable ships with a fine streamlined shape.

technical description

The ships with three passenger decks are powered by three diesel engines with 525 hp each. Many units of the Project 26-37 class with original Slovak furnishings are still in service today. At the end of the 1980s, shortly before the collapse of the Soviet Union , the modernization of the ships was worked out and implemented on one of the ships in 1997.
