history

The first written mention of Olešná took place in 1369 in the Brno country table, when the priest Vojšín had his farm and forest transferred to a Vojtěch, son of Vlček. The village belonged to the Pernštejn domain and was subordinate to the center of Bystřice at that time . An entry in the Bystřice town register from 1483 proves the existence of a judge in Olešná and 17 subjects who were subject to tribute. When the rule was divided, Olešná came to the Neustadtl - Ingrowitz share in 1500 and became part of the independent Neustadtl rule in 1564.

In the middle of the 17th century, Franz Maximilian Kratzer von Schönsberg assigned Olešná to his daughter Johanna Franziska as dowry. She had a castle built in place of the court around 1650. Olešná became the seat of a small manor and in 1664 a brewery was established. In 1672 Johanna Franziska's husband Wolfgang Ludwig Ritter Hetzer von Aurach on Woleschna died. The next owner was Zdeniek Wenzel Lev von Rosental , probably through marriage to Johanna Franziska. After his death in 1680 Olešná was rejoined to the New Town rule. The early baroque palace remained unused and fell into disrepair. The noble women's monastery Maria Schul in Brno , to which the rule belonged from 1699, had the castle restored in 1732 and leased it. The oldest local seal dates from 1749. After the castle fire in 1790, the first floor was demolished and a peasant farm was set up in the remains. The Neustadtler Eisenwerke had exploration shafts built near the village in 1815, but the iron ore deposit turned out to be unsuitable for mining. The head of the Walpurga Monastery of Sinzendorf had the Sinzendorf farm, which also included a sheep farm , built in 1826 west of the crossroads to Neustadtl and Křídla . In 1847 a typhus epidemic broke out, killing 38 residents within five weeks.

After the abolition of patrimonial Olešná formed a municipality in the Neustadtl district from 1850. In 1861 the stone road bridge over the Olešná was built. Between 1903 and 1905 the local railway Deutschbrod – Tischnowitz built the railway line from Saar to Tischnowitz north of the village . In 1903 the place was hit by a violent hailstorm in which a number of poultry were killed. After the dissolution of the Okres Nové Město na Moravě, the municipality was assigned to the Okres Žďár nad Sázavou in 1949 . In 1980 it was incorporated into Nové Město na Moravě . In 1991 the place had 247 inhabitants. In 2001 the village consisted of 102 houses, in which 254 people lived.

Local division

Olešná includes the single-layer Cinzndorf ( Sinzendorf ).
