Northern Rhodesia , today's Zambia , took part in the 1964 Summer Olympics in Tokyo with a delegation of twelve athletes (eleven men and one woman) in 13 competitions in five sports. None of the athletes managed to win a medal. It was the first participation in the Summer Olympics.
