Men's singles in luge at the 2018 Olympic Winter Games .
A total of four runs took place in the men's single-seater luge. The first two races were held on February 10, 2018 at 7:10 p.m. local time (11:10 a.m. CET ). The third and fourth runs took place on February 11, 2018, 6:50 p.m. local time (10:50 a.m. CET ). The competition was held in the Alpensia Sliding Center .
Olympic champion was the Austrian David Gleirscher , ahead of Christopher Mazdzer from the United States . The bronze medal was won by Johannes Ludwig from Germany.
After the first run, David Gleirscher was in first place, which he lost to defending champion Felix Loch in the second and third runs . In the fourth and final run, however, the German taxed himself at the exit from turn nine, which is probably the most difficult turn on the route. He then lost his entire lead and only finished fifth in the end.
