The short track competition over the women's 1500 meters at the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang was held on February 17, 2018 in the Gangneung Ice Arena and consisted of six heats and three semi-finals as well as an A and B final. A total of 36 starters from 17 nations took part in the competition.

The world record holder Choi Min-jeong from South Korea secured the Olympic victory ahead of Li Jinyu from China. The bronze medal went to the Canadian Kim Boutin . With Anna Seidel and Bianca Walter , two German starters took part in the competition. While Walter was eliminated in the preliminary runs, Anna Seidel reached the semi-finals and was eliminated there. There were no athletes from Austria, Switzerland or Liechtenstein at the start.

At the Olympic competition, a total of six preliminary runs were carried out, in each of which six athletes competed. The three fastest qualified for the semi-finals and are marked in green.
