Omari Latif Hardwick (born January 9, 1974 in Savannah , Georgia ) is an American actor .

life and career

Omari Hardwick grew up in Decatur , Georgia, USA . After he discovered his interest in various sports at the local high school, he attended the University of Georgia and its football team. As a minor, he took acting . After completing his studies, Hardwick moved to San Diego to play with the local San Diego Chargers . However, he had to end his career after a short time due to a knee injury. He then moved to New York to improve his acting skills with a degree off-Broadway . Since his acting career was unsuccessful, however, he had to live in his car and keep his head above water with odd jobs.

His breakthrough in the film business had Omari Hardwick with the role of Dante Porce in the movie Sucker Free City of Spike Lee in the year 2004. This was followed by a guest appearance in the series Crossing Jordan - pathologist with profile and in 2006 starred in the short-lived series Saved of the broadcaster TNT . After appearing in the films Parole Game (2006), Every Second Counts - The Guardian (2006) and Buffalo Soldiers '44 - The Miracle of St. Anna (2008), he appeared in CSI: Miami and Lie to Me . He also played a leading role in the television series Dark Blue . In 2010 he played the role of Marcus Williams in Kick-Ass and Christopher Jay in The A-Team - The Movie . After other films he has been seen in the role of Andre Daniels in the BET series Being Mary Jane since 2013 .
