Orhan Eren

Orhan Eren (* 1922 in Nallıhan , Ankara Province ; † September 2017 ) was a Turkish politician .

Career

Eren graduated from Ankara University in 1946 with a law degree . In 1948 he was admitted to the bar.

He was mayor of Ankara from 1955 to 1957 as the successor to Kemal Aygün . From 1965 to 1980 he was a member of the Grand National Assembly . In 1979 he was appointed Minister of State. He was Minister of the Interior from August 4, 1980 until the military coup on September 12, 1980.
