Abdülkadir Aksu
Abdülkadir Aksu (born October 12, 1944 in Diyarbakır ) is a Turkish politician and former Minister of Internal Affairs.
He graduated from the Faculty of Political Science at Ankara University and the State Language School. Aksu was Kaymakam in Kınık County ( İzmir ) and Sarıkaya County ( Yozgat ). He was the police chief in Malatya , deputy Vali of Kahramanmaraş province , deputy chief of police, Vali and mayor of Rize and Vali of Gaziantep province . During his tenure in Gaziantep, Aksu was elected Bureaucrat of the Year ( Yılın Bureaucratı ).
Abdülkadir Aksu is a founding member of the Adalet ve Kalkınma Partisi (AKP). He was in the 18th and 20th legislative term MP for the province of Diyarbakir in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey . Aksu was a member of the AKP in the 21st and 22nd legislative periods for the province of İstanbul . He was Minister of Internal Affairs in the 46th government ( Özal II cabinet ) and in the 47th government ( Akbulut cabinet ). He was also Minister of State in the 53rd government ( Yılmaz II cabinet ). Aksu was again Minister of Internal Affairs in the 58th and 59th AKP Governments ( Gül Cabinet and Erdoğan I Cabinet ).
Aksu is married and has two children.
