Osman Pepe (born August 7, 1954 in Akçaabat ) is a Turkish politician. Pepe belongs to the ruling AKP party and is a member of parliament for the province of Kocaeli . He had previously been elected to the Turkish parliament as a member of the Welfare Party and the Virtue Party . He enforced the first Turkish animal welfare law . He was Minister for Environment and Forests in the Gül Cabinet and Erdoğan I Cabinet .
