Kınık is a city and a district in the Turkish province of Izmir . The city is located about 80 kilometers north of the provincial capital Izmir on the D-240 road from Bergama to Akhisar . After a regional reform, the city is identical in terms of population and area to the district.

The district is located in the north of the province and borders on Bergama to the west and north and Manisa province to the east . The city lies on the edge of the Bergama Ovası plain , through which the Bakırçay River , the ancient Kaikos, flows in the north of the district .
