Bayındır

Bayındır is a city and at the same time a district of the Büyükşehir Belediyesi (big city commune) İzmir in the Turkish province of İzmir . The city is located about 50 kilometers southeast of the provincial capital İzmir on the road from Torbalı to Ödemiş . After a regional reform, the city is identical in terms of population and area to the district.

The district is located in the eastern center of the province. It is bordered by Kemalpaşa in the northwest , Torbalı in the west, Tire in the south, Ödemiş in the east and Manisa Province in the northeast . The city is located on the southern slope of the Boz Dağları Mountains .

The Zeytinova Dam was built above Zeytinova in the 2010s .
