Karabağlar is a district in the Turkish province of Izmir and at the same time a district of the Büyükşehir Belediyesi (city municipality) Izmir . After a regional reform, the city is identical in terms of population and area to the district.

The center of Karabağlar is located south of the city center of Izmir, the district southwest of it. It is bordered by Konak to the north, Balçova and Narlıdere to the northwest , Bayraklı to the west, Menderes and Gaziemir to the south, and Buca to the east .

Karabağlar was declared a district on March 6, 2008 by a cabinet decision.

The Yeşilyurt Futbol Sahası football stadium is located in Karabağlar.
