Beydağ (formerly Greek: Palaiópolis and derived from Turkish: Balyambolu / Balyanbolu ) is a city and a district in the Turkish province of Izmir . The city is located about 100 kilometers southeast of the provincial capital Izmir . After a regional reform, the city is identical in terms of population and area to the district.

The district is located in the east of the province and borders Ödemiş in the west, Kiraz in the east and Aydın province in the south . Beydağ is located on the northern slope of the Aydın Dağları Mountains , in the north of the district is the Beydağ Barajı reservoir , in which the Küçük Menderes River is dammed.
