The Otter Creek Township is one of 18 townships in Jackson County in the eastern part of the US -amerikanischen state of Iowa .

The Otter Creek Township is located in eastern Iowa around 20 km west of the Mississippi , which forms the border with Illinois . The Wisconsin border is around 22 miles north.
The Otter Creek Township is 42 ° 14'24 "north latitude and 90 ° 43'42" west longitude and extends over 93.3 km ². The township is traversed in a north-south direction by Otter Creek , a tributary of the Maquoketa River , which flows into the Mississippi. The LaSoya Wildlife Management Area is located in the western center of the township . Leisure Lake is located in the southwest of Otter Creek Township and the adjacent Butler Township .
The Otter Creek Township is located in the central northwest of Jackson County and is bordered to the north by Dubuque County . Within Jackson County, Otter Creek Township is bordered by Prairie Springs Township to the northeast, Richland Township to the east, Perry Township to the southeast, Farmers Creek Township to the south, Brandon Township to the southwest and the to the west Butler Township.
