The Bellevue Township is one of 18 townships in Jackson County in the eastern part of the US -amerikanischen state of Iowa .

Bellevue Township is located in eastern Iowa on the western bank of the Mississippi , which forms the border with Illinois . The Wisconsin border is around 22 miles north.
The Bellevue Township is located at 42 ° 15'02 "north latitude and 90 ° 28'16" west longitude and extends over 112.4 km², which is spread over 109.6 km² of land and 2.8 km² of water.
Bellevue Township is located in the east of Jackson County and is bordered to the east by the Mississippi and Jo Daviess County in Illinois. Within Jackson County, Bellevue Township is bordered by Washington Township to the southeast, Jackson Township to the south, Perry Township to the southwest, Richland Township to the west, Prairie Springs Township to the northwest and Tete Des to the north Morts Township .

The oldest traffic route is the Mississippi, on which an important part of the flow of goods is still transported through the center of the USA. The river is kept navigable for large barges by dams, of which Lock and Dam No. 12 one located between Bellevue Township and the opposite bank of Illinois.
By Bellevue Township of the Iowa portion of the at this point runs along the Mississippi Great River Road forming US Highway 52 . From this branches off to the west leading Illinois Highway 62 . All other roads are county roads and subordinate and partly unpaved roads.
A Canadian National Railway runs along the Mississippi River through Bellevue Township .
