The Ottersberger Moor is a nature reserve in the Ottersberg area and the municipality of Oyten in the Verden district .
The nature reserve with the sign NSG LÜ 217 is 94 hectares in size.
The Ottersberger Moor is located south of the Ottersberg-Bahnhof part of the community of Flecken Ottersberg. It borders the town in the north, state road 155 in the east and federal motorway 1 in the south . Is the residue of a drained bog area where until the 1960s peat extraction took place in Handtorfstichverfahren. Only peripheral areas of the area were cultivated. Large parts of the bog are with Birkenbruch forest and moorland vegetation. Peat mosses grow in peat hollows where the water has stayed .
In the southwest, a path runs through the edge of the nature reserve.
The area has been a nature reserve since September 16, 1997. The responsible lower nature conservation authority is the district of Verden.
