The Waller flat ponds are a nature reserve in the Lower Saxony town of Verden (Aller) and the municipality of Kirchlinteln in the district of Verden .

The nature reserve with the sign NSG LÜ 338 is around 22.7 hectares in size. The 5.31 hectare FFH area "Sandgrube bei Walle" is part of the nature reserve. In the south, the nature reserve is adjacent to the conservation area "Pogge Moor". The area has been under nature protection since December 1, 2018. The responsible lower nature conservation authority is the district of Verden.

The nature reserve is located northeast of Verden (Aller). It protects several shallow still waters of a former sand pit . Strandling and dwarf rush communities settle in the waters or in their bank areas. The sometimes periodically drying up waters are embedded in pioneer grass that is increasingly bushed with downy birch . They are home to fine candelabrum algae , shimmering luster algae , changeless milfoil , common pennywort , flooding celery , six-male tannel and small water lily . Small areas of beak reed vegetation with round-leaved sundew , marsh bear moss and rushes rich in peat moss, moist sandy heather and bushes of gray and ear willow can be found. The late yellow sedge , thread rush , water thick leaf and small valerian also settle in the nature reserve . Drier locations are partly covered with bushes, partly poor grassland and common heather settle here . Partial areas are characterized as extensively used, species-rich grassland . Mixed deciduous forests are particularly thick in the south of the protected area . The needle herb immigrated to the area as a neophyte .

The nature reserve is a habitat of various amphibians , including great crested newt , smooth newt , common spadefoot , natterjack toad , common toad , moor frog and frog .

The nature reserve is looked after by the Naturschutzbund Deutschland . It is bounded in the northwest by the county road between Walle and Holtum (Geest) . In the southeast of a passing Wirtschaftsweg .
