Paedaste
Pädaste ( German Peddast ) is a village on the Estonian island of Muhu .
Pädaste is located in the south of Muhu on the Riga Bay of the Baltic Sea . It belongs to the municipality of Muhu ( Estonian Muhu vald ) in Saare County . The village has 48 inhabitants.
Manor Pädaste
Pädaste is known for his representative mansion with an adjoining park and numerous outbuildings. It is one of the few Estonian manors that was built right by the sea.
The manor house was first mentioned in the 16th century. In the course of history it belonged to the noble Baltic German families von Knorring , von Aderkas (from 1768) and von Buxhoeveden . In 1875 today's mansion was built in the neo-Gothic style. It was extensively renovated in 1996 and is now a luxury hotel.
