Soonda is a village ( Estonian küla ) on the third largest Estonian island of Muhu . It belongs to the rural community of the same name ( Muhu vald ) in the Saare district ( Saare maakond ).

The place has 23 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2011). The village gave its name to the 10.2 kilometer long stream of the same name ( Soonda oja ). It is the longest running water on the island of Muhu.

In 1923 a stone ax from the Younger Stone Age or Bronze Age was found in Soonda .
