The house at Pölkenstraße 9 is a listed building in the city of Quedlinburg in Saxony-Anhalt .

It is located in the historic Neustadt Quedlinburg and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site . The building is registered as an agricultural citizen's farm in the Quedlinburg monument register. The building, which is also listed, is adjacent to Pölkenstrasse 8 to the south .

Architecture and history

The street-side three-storey house of the courtyard, which has only partially been preserved, dates from around 1680. On the facade of the half-timbered house there are worn diamond beam heads . There is a house passage in the northern half of the house. The front door is richly decorated with carvings.

There is a baroque staircase in the house.

On the north side of the courtyard, in addition to more recent buildings, there is also a timber-framed farm building at the end of the 17th century. The southern two-storey half-timbered wing in the courtyard has struts and was probably built at the same time as the main house. In the 18th / 19th A partial renewal took place in the 19th century. Another half-timbered building stands on the northwest side of the courtyard and was built in the 18th century on a square base.
