The house at Pölkenstraße 18 is a listed building in the city of Quedlinburg in Saxony-Anhalt .

location

It is located in the historic Neustadt Quedlinburg on the west side of Pölkenstrasse. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site . The building is registered as a residential building in the Quedlinburg monument register. The house Pölkenstrasse 17 , which is also listed, is adjacent to the south and Pölkenstrasse 19 to the north .

Architecture and history

The two-storey half - timbered house was built in 1658. On the threshold of the house there is an inscription PD with crossed axes , which refers to the Quedlinburg builder Peter Dünnehaupt . Another inscription, however, referring to the carpenter Andreas Schröder , is the letters MA S with a coat of arms . At the end of the 19th century, a shop was installed on the ground floor.

The property has a side wing on the north side. This half-timbered building was built in the 17th century and has ankle straps.
