The house Pölkenstraße 21 is a listed building in the city of Quedlinburg in Saxony-Anhalt .

location

It is located in the historic Neustadt Quedlinburg on the west side of Pölkenstrasse. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site . The building is registered as a residential building in the Quedlinburg monument register. To the north is the also listed building at Pölkenstrasse 22 .

Architecture and history

The two-story half - timbered house consists of two parts of the building. The southern part of the house is inscribed, has a bay window and a dwelling . Overall, this part of the building is no longer preserved in its original construction-time condition due to renovations.

The northern part was built around 1680, with the ground floor being rebuilt in massive construction at a later time. There is a gate passage on the ground floor.

On the south side of the courtyard there is a two-storey courtyard wing from the 18th century. It is also built in half-timbered construction and has a massive substructure. It is covered with a mansard roof . There are two hatches .

Another courtyard wing that originally existed on the north side was renewed after a fire in 1965.
