The house Pölkenstraße 42 is a listed building in the city of Quedlinburg in Saxony-Anhalt .

It is located in the historic Quedlinburger Neustadt on the east side of Pölkenstrasse and is listed in the Quedlinburg monument register as a farm bourgeoisie. The building, which is also listed, is adjacent to Pölkenstrasse 43 to the south .

Architecture and history

The courtyard is from the Baroque period . The street-side building was built in 1680, but was rebuilt at a later time.

In the courtyard there is a half-timbered house from the middle of the 18th century. The framework has a so-called stand rhythm . A profile plank is used as an ornament . The building is covered by a mansard roof .

In 2010 the house was renovated by the qbatur architects . A total of 220 m² of living space was created.
