PJ Soles
PJ Soles (* 17th July 1950 in Frankfurt am Main as Pamela Jayne Hardon ) is an American actress .
Life
Soles was born Pamela Jayne Hardon on July 17, 1950 in Frankfurt am Main as the daughter of an American and a Dutchman . Her father worked for an international insurance company, which meant that the family moved frequently. They lived for some time in Casablanca , in Maracaibo ( Venezuela ), where she learned Spanish fluently , and in Brussels , where she attended the International School of Brussels . She later attended Briarcliff College , then a girls' school in New York State .
After attending The Actors Studio , she decided to become an actress and worked for some time as an actress in commercials and as a model for fashion magazines. In New York in 1971 she married her first husband, J. Steven Soles . That marriage was divorced four years later and Soles moved to Los Angeles . Despite the divorce, she decided to keep her ex-husband's name and call herself P. J. Soles in the future.
In Los Angeles, she took part in the joint casting of Brian De Palma and George Lucas for the films Carrie - Des Satan's Youngest Daughter and Star Wars and cast the role of Norma Watson in Carrie . After that, she moved to Georgia to participate in the filming of High School Dreams . It was there that she met her fellow actor Dennis Quaid , whom she married in 1978. In the same year, her most famous role as Lynda in John Carpenter's classic Halloween - The Night of Horror followed . In 1979 she played a leading role in rock 'n' roll high school with the punk band Ramones and also sang a cover version of the title song of the same name. In 1983 her marriage to Quaid was divorced, in the same year she married the fighter pilot and stunt performer Skip Holm, with whom she has two children. 1998 Soles and Holm separated.
