Pagenhard is a district of the Westheim community in the Weissenburg-Gunzenhausen district in Central Franconia . The hamlet has about 30 inhabitants and is at an altitude of about 433 meters above sea level.

Pagenhard is surrounded by meadows and forests in West Central Franconia , south of Westheim on a plain of the Hahnenkamm , a mountain range of the Franconian Alb . The Lothbach , a left tributary of the Wörnitz, flows through the hamlet from west to east . Neighboring towns are (clockwise, starting with the north) Westheim, Roßmeiersdorf , Zirndorf , Pfeifhof , Heuhof and Wachfeld . To the northwest is the Auwald nature reserve near Westheim , which was designated in 1979 . Municipal roads connect the town with the neighboring towns, the federal road 466 and the district road WUG 30 . The border with the Swabian district of Donau-Ries runs south of the village .

In 1808 the place came to the tax district Westheim, 1810 to the rural community Westheim. Pagenhard remained part of the Westheim community even after the regional reform in Bavaria in the 1970s. In 1846 there are six houses, six families and 26 souls in Pagenhard  . In 1875, 31 people with a total of 31 cattle lived in the village in 13 buildings.

There are several prehistoric settlements in the area that are registered as land monuments. The only one in the Bavarian monument list registered monument Page Hards is the building Page Hard 1 .

Due to its small size, there are no authorities, post offices, cultural institutions or shops in the village. The nearest doctors and shops are in Westheim. Ecclesiastically, the place belongs to the Protestant Westheimer St. Pankrazius Church in the Evangelical Lutheran Dean's Office Heidenheim and to the Catholic parish of St. Andreas in Hainsfarth in the diocese of Eichstätt .
