Panorama ( Greek Πανόραμα [ paˈnɔrama ] ( n. Sg. )) Is a suburb of Thessaloniki and is located in its southeast on the western slope of the Chortiatis mountain a few kilometers from the coast of the Thermaic Gulf . Panorama was a rural municipality (kinotita) in the prefecture of Thessaloniki from 1930 and was raised to a municipal municipality (dimos) in 1994 . In 2010 Panorama was incorporated into the new municipality of Pylea-Chortiatis , where it has been a municipality since then. Panorama is included in the Thessaloniki metropolitan area .

Panorama borders in the north on the villages of Chortiatis and Asvestochori, in the west and south Panorama borders directly on Thessaloniki and its district Charilaou as well as on the municipality of Pylea .

Due to the location on the slope of the Chortiatis, the view over Thessaloniki and the Thermaic Gulf, laid down in the name, is offered. Due to this location and the distance from the city center of Thessaloniki, Panorama has been a preferred settlement area in recent years and therefore has increasing population numbers. In 1981 Panorama had 4,193 inhabitants. By 1991 the population had more than doubled to 10,275. At the last Greek census in 2011, Panorama had 17,444 inhabitants.
