Paolo d'Allio
Paolo d'Allio , also Paolo d'Aglio or Johann Paul Allio (* 1655 in Scaria ; † February 6, 1729 ibid) was a Lombard plasterer who worked mainly in Bavaria and Austria .
Life
Paolo d'Allio was already working as a self-employed master in the Carlone troop on the cathedral construction site in Passau in 1681 . In 1695 the workshop of Carlone and Allio moved to the Upper Palatinate , and Paolo d'Allio and his cousin Diego Francesco Carlone took over work in Amberg . The fruitful collaboration between the two continued over the next few decades. From 1705 to 1709, the two worked mainly in the Hochstift Salzburg . After 1723 Paolo d'Allio withdrew completely to Scaria.
family
In the winter months Allio mostly returned to Scaria, where he married Domenica Carloni, daughter of Sebastiano Carloni, in 1679. The two had five children: Caterina Francesca (* 1677/80), Maria Maddalena (* 1689), the two later plasterers Giovanni Battista d'Allio (* 1690) and Sebastiano Domenico d'Allio (* 1697).
