Patoka (German Patocka ) is a village in Upper Silesia . Administratively it is located in the municipality of Ciasna (Cziasnau) in the powiat Lubliniecki (district of Lublinitz) in the Silesian Voivodeship .
history
Patocka originally belonged to the Ponoschau manor as a farm . In 1742 the place with most of Silesia came to Prussia.
After the division of Upper Silesia, Patocka remained with the German Empire . In 1936 the place was renamed brickworks in the course of a wave of renaming of the place during the Nazi era . Until 1945 the place was in the district of Loben (in the meantime from 1927 to 1941 in the district of Guttentag ).
In 1945 the formerly German town came under Polish administration and was then attached to the Silesian Voivodeship and renamed the Polish Jeżowa . In 1950 the place came to the Katowice Voivodeship . In 1975 the place came to the newly founded Voivodeship Czestochowa . In 1999 the place came to the re-established Powiat Lubliniecki and to the new Silesian Voivodeship.
Buildings and sights
- 19th century castle in neo-baroque style with park. The last owner before 1945 was Hermann Reemtsma. After that, the castle was confiscated and nationalized by the Polish state.
