Patricia Klobusiczky
Patricia Klobusiczky (born April 3, 1968 in Berlin ) is a German literary translator , trained at the Heinrich Heine University in Düsseldorf .
life and work
Klobusiczky initially worked as an editor for Rowohlt Verlag , from 1996 to 2000 in the paperback division and from 2000 to 2005 at Rowohlt Berlin.
From 2016 to 2019 she heads the Georges Arthur Goldschmidt Program, a training program for young literary translators from French and German into the other language and from three countries (D, F, CH ), which is supported by various institutions . The carriers are u. a. the Frankfurt Book Fair , Bureau International de l'Édition Française, the Swiss cultural foundation Pro Helvetia , a Franco-German youth organization is responsible for the coordination .
Klobusiczky has been a freelance translator from French and English since 2006 , as well as a moderator and editor .
She also translated into French as a target language , e.g. B. a comic by Anke Feuchtenberger and Katrin de Vries 2006.
Patricia Klobusiczky has been the national chairwoman of the Association of German-Language Translators of Literary and Scientific Works , VdÜ, since March 2017 . Since 2016 she has been a mentor for literary translators and in 2018 she heads the “Translators' Seminar - Literary Colloquium Berlin ”. As a lecturer, she works a. as part of the master's degree in "Applied Literature" at the Free University of Berlin , and at the Berlin "Academy for Authors".
