Paul Gallagher (born August 9, 1984 in Glasgow ) is a Scottish football player. The midfielder is currently under contract with Preston North End .

Career

Gallagher, who came from the youth of the Blackburn Rovers , played his first professional appearance for the Blackburn Rovers in March 2003 against Arsenal FC in the Premier League . In December of that year, he scored his first goal against Birmingham City . Since then, Paul Gallagher has been a regular at the Rovers, but has also been loaned four times to the Football League Championship - once each to Preston North End and Plymouth Argyle and twice to Stoke City . For the 2009/10 season Gallagher moved to Leicester City in the Football League Championship. After three more loans, Gallagher moved to Preston North End in 2015.

National team

In 2004 Gallagher made his only international appearance for Scotland when he came on as a substitute in a friendly against Wales .
