Pavol Farkaš (born March 27, 1985 in Vráble , Czechoslovakia ) is a Slovak football player . The central defender has been under contract with AE Larisa in Greece since summer 2016 .

Career

Farkaš's career began in 2004 at FC Nitra in the Slovak 1st division , the country's second division. After promotion to the Corgoň league in 2005, he was able to fight for a regular place in the 2005/06 season and achieve a place in the front midfield with his club and moved into the UI Cup .

At the beginning of the 2007/08 season Farkaš moved to the top club FC Artmedia Petržalka , but initially hardly got a chance there. Nevertheless, he won the Slovak Championship and the Slovak Cup with his team . In the following season , the stakes increased. During the winter break he left the club and joined the Romanian club FC Vaslui . In coach Viorel Moldovan's team , he became a regular straight away and moved with the club into the Europa League , where the club failed in the play-off games at AEK Athens .

In the second half of the 2009/10 season , Farkaš lost his place in the team and from then on was rarely used. In the first half of the 2011/12 season he returned to the team as a regular under Viorel Hizo . After the runner-up he moved to AC Chievo Verona in the Italian Serie A together with his teammate Paul Papp . There he only made four appearances in the 2012/13 season . In summer 2013 he was loaned to second division Ternana Calcio for one season . After his return in the summer of 2014, the Azerbaijani first division club FK Qəbələ signed him . There he made 15 appearances in the first half of the 2014/15 season, but no more came in the second half . Farkaš moved to Skoda Xanthi in the Greek Super League in summer 2015 . Again, he was often not in the squad and only came six games. After a year he left Xanthi again in the summer of 2016 and joined league competitor AE Larisa .
