Ester Peony

Ester Peony (born July 21, 1993 in Bucharest , actually Alexandra Crețu ) is a Romanian singer and composer .

Career

Peony grew up in Montreal , where she found music in her childhood. She first caught public attention in 2014 when she published covers of popular songs on the Internet. A record company became aware of this and signed them. In 2015 she had her first radio and television appearances, as her first song Sub aripa ta was played for a long time on Romanian radio and music television. At the same time she had her first tour and a tour with the singers Puya, Vescan, Doddy and Anastasia. In 2018 she released her first EP Dig It , which included her first own written songs. Her first album should be released in 2019.

On February 17, 2019, she won the Selecția Națională 2019 with her song On A Sunday , representing Romania at the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 in Tel Aviv . After participating in the second semi-final, however, she was unable to qualify for the final of the competition.
