Perkinsville is a village in the town of Weathersfield in Windsor County , Vermont in the United States with 130 inhabitants (according to the 2010 census). Perkinsville is located in the southwest of the town of Weathersfield and is traversed by the Black River .

history

The town of Weathersfield, in which the Village Perkinsville is located, was put up for sale by Benning Wentworth as part of his New Hampshire Grants on August 20, 1761.

The Village Perkinsville was given independent rights in 1928.

A heavy airplane accident occurred on June 14, 1947, when a B-29 bomber of the US Air Force on the Hawk Mountain bounced located on the western edge of the Village. All 12 crew members died in the impact. A memorial in Perkinsville commemorates the tragedy.

There is a pyrite deposit in Perkinsville that is developed by the Pine Hill Quarry .

The Upper Falls Covered Bridge was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973 .

The Vermont State Route 106 runs north to south through the Village. In the southern part, Maple Street crosses in a west-east direction.
