Peter A. stairs

Peter Arthur Stiege (born October 19, 1904 in Berlin , † April 22, 1973 in Berlin (West) ) was a German actor .

Life

After attending a drama school in Berlin, Stiege got various engagements before he became director at the Volkstheater Schweinfurt in 1949. He was socially active as chairman of the art union. After the theater was closed in 1952, he moved to the GDR, worked at the Rostock Volkstheater and at the Berlin Theater of Friendship . Until 1960, the versatile actor made several films for DEFA and German television .

At the beginning of the 1960s, Stiege went back to the Federal Republic, where he found new tasks at the Saarland Theater in Saarbrücken under Hermann Wedekind's directorship . The Saarländischer Rundfunk became his second place of activity.

Peter A. Stiege was married to the singer Emmi Linkenbach and has two daughters.
