Larrivée put Peter Autschbach's idea of a new type of pickup with offset coils (twisted coil humbuckers) into practice. The guitar maker Johannes Striebel from Wolfratshausen also honored the musician with four different Autschbach signature series. As solo guitarist and interpreter of his fingerstyle compositions, Peter Autschbach has been invited to tours to Singapore (2011, 2012 and 2019) and Japan (2014 and 2017). Together with the guitarist Ralf Illenberger, three CDs with compositions by the two actors were released. Textbook author and music lecturer

Autschbach has been teaching at the Lennestadt Music School since 1990, leading guitar workshops in Germany, Europe and Asia and he has published 17 textbooks for guitar and guitar schools . He developed new didactic methods used by many teachers, such as the electric guitar textbook "Let's Rock" and the two-volume acoustic guitar school "Rock On Wood". The textbook "Learn to play guitar with Zacky and Bob" for children aged 8 and over, published by Schott Music in 2016 , teaches you to play the entire fingerboard right from the start, allowing you to experience the guitar as a whole. For this purpose Autschbach composed 90 easily playable guitar pieces for this two-volume work, illustrated by the graphic artist Selina Peterson . There are explanatory videos for each piece on a homepage for the book. Since 1999 Peter Autschbach has been writing his own compositions for the “Fingerstyle Jazz” series for the specialist journal Akustik Guitar ; since 2011 he has also worked as a guitar lecturer for the columns "Acoustic Rock" and "Guitar Hero" for the workshop magazine Acoustic Player .

composer

Autschbach's compositions make up a large part of his work. His debut album "Chasing The Beat" already contained only his own compositions. Over decades, Peter Autschbach has developed his own tonal language that takes up elements of jazz , blues , rock and Latin American music . Unexpected modulations and rhythm changes cause surprises, but the music with its singable melodies always remains tonal and can therefore be understood and appreciated even by less experienced listeners. Autschbach's interpretations of well-known works are integrated into the recognizable stylistics of their own compositions through reharmonization and often through new rhythms.
