Peter Ohlendorf (* 1952 in Munich ) is a German film and television director as well as screenwriter and film producer .
Life
Peter Ohlendorf studied at the German School of Journalism in Munich and then initially worked as a journalist for various public broadcasters . Later he became self-employed as a filmmaker , sometimes working as a so-called "freelancer" for various radio and television broadcasters. Since the mid-1980s, Ohlendorf has primarily dealt with ecological, development and socio-political issues. In 1989 he came to Freiburg im Breisgau . Since 2002 he has been making films and reports for television .
Alongside Sigrid Faltin , Reinhild Dettmer-Finke, Tamara Spitzing and Ingo Behring, he is part of the “Freiburg documentary filmmaking scene” and describes himself as a “political filmmaker”. Ohlendorf became known in particular for his investigative documentary Blood Must Flow - Undercover Among Nazis from 2012, which is based on years of research and covert camera recordings by the journalist Thomas Kuban and deals with the right-wing extremist music scene . The film was shown at the Berlinale 2012 and received 2nd prize in the 2012 Alternative Media Prize .
Peter Ohlendorf lives and works in Freiburg im Breisgau.
