history

The Waldhufendorf Pfaffengrün was first mentioned in 1327 in the deed of gift from Burkhard and Herrmann von Lobdeburg to the pastor Gottschalk from Elsterberg . Originally, Pfaffengrün was under the monastic estate in Gansgrün . After the Reformation , Pfaffengrün finally became an independent estate, which was mentioned in 1696 as a manor . The Saxon elector enfeoffed Margarete von Bünau with the Pfaffengrün estate in 1459 . The von Bünau were still associated with Pfaffengrün until at least 1533. This was followed in the 17th century by the lords of Bose , the lords of Wolframsdorf and von Raabe. After several other changes of ownership in the 18th century, Moritz Merkel in 1901 and Gerhard Voigt from 1920 on are listed as owners.

In the 16th century, the manorial rule over Pfaffengrün was partly held by the Coschütz and Thürnhof manors . These in turn belonged to the Elsterberg rule , which was incorporated into the Plauen office in the 16th century . In the 17th century the manor over Pfaffengrün was divided between the manor Pfaffengrün and the church of Elsterberg, while in the 18th century it was part of the manor Pfaffengrün and Thürnhof.

Pfaffengrün was in the Electoral Saxon or Royal Saxon Office of Plauen until 1856 . In 1856 the place was affiliated with the Treuen court office and in 1875 with the Auerbach administration . The manor Pfaffengrün, owned by the haulier Grimm since 1940, was expropriated in 1945 as part of the land reform in the Soviet occupation zone. Three years later it came into community ownership.

On July 1, 1950, Pfaffengrün was incorporated into Hartmannsgrün. As a result of the second district reform in the GDR , Pfaffengrün came to the district of Auerbach in the Chemnitz district in 1952 as a district of the Hartmannsgrün community (renamed the Karl-Marx-Stadt district in 1953 ), which was continued as the Saxon "Auerbach district" from 1990 and in 1996 in the Vogtland district rose. With the incorporation of the Hartmannsgrün community into Treuen, Pfaffengrün became a district of Treuen on January 1, 1999.
