Pilar Seurat

Pilar Seurat (born Rita Hernandez ; born July 25, 1938 in Manila , Philippines , † June 2, 2001 in Los Angeles , California , USA ) was a Filipino film actress and dancer .

Life

Seurat moved to Los Angeles as a child and began participating in Ken Murray's Blackouts , a renowned dance group, at an early age . She began acting in the late 1950s . She was often asked when an Asian woman was wanted for a role.

Pilar Seurat was married twice. Her husband was the film producer Don Devlin from 1959 to 1963, and the screenwriter Don Cerveris between 1970 and 1981 . They had a son with Don Devlin, Dean , who became known as the author of Independence Day and Stargate .

Pilar Seurat died of lung cancer in June 2001 at the age of 62 .
