course

The pilgrim stream has its source in the Habichtswald Nature Park in the Langenberge . Its source is on the eastern slope of the 464.8  m high Bensberg or on the northeast slope of the slightly more than 460  m high Bilstein , about 1.5 km northwest of Besse , a part of the municipality of Edermünde. It is located near the eastern edge of the forest of the Langenberge at around 320  m above sea level. NHN .

After leaving the forest, the pilgrim stream flows through agricultural areas south-east to Besse, where it passes or flows through the western and southern districts and leaves the nature park. Then the Saugraben flows from the west. The stream then runs mainly eastwards through fields and meadows. Along the state road  3221, it reaches the Edermünder district of Holzhausen south of the Hahn basalt knoll ( 255.8  m ) . There the Glisborn flows into the western outskirts from the southwest . After crossing under the federal motorway 49 , where the Hertingshausen Bach flows from the north, it runs through the southern parts of the village.

Then the pilgrim stream, continuing along the L 3221, reaches the Edermünder district of Grifte , which it partially canalises and flows through underground. After crossing under the Main-Weser-Bahn it flows on the eastern edge of the village north of the L 3221 leading over the Eder and south-east to Guxhagen at about 144  m height into the Eder - about 550 m before its influence into the Fulda .
